I have found that when we turn our clocks back, some of my clients’ physical and emotional well-being is significantly impacted. Due to disrupted circadian rhythms and less sunlight throughout the day, they may experience low energy, irritability, or depression. Some women who are sensitive to weather changes find that they are more susceptible to colds and coughs.
As we seek to understand our body’s response to seasonal changes, the right homeopathic remedy can support our transition to winter.
If you are one of my clients, or you have a constitutional remedy from your professional homeopath, this is the best remedy for you if you experience symptoms due to seasonal changes. Your individualized remedy can address your body on both physical and emotional levels and boost your immune system to handle most acute ailments.

“Best Soup I’ve Ever Made”
Carrot Ginger Soup
This flavorful soup is my favorite year-round, but I find it especially soothing in the Fall when I want to warm up on a cold night. I added a few ingredients to give it a Thai flavor profile.
Imagine my distress when I lost the recipe for more than two years when I moved! I found this recipe simply titled “Best Soup I’ve Ever Made” online a long time ago, but I did not note the source. Thank goodness I later found it, and I am sharing it with you so I never lose it again!
If you know who created this masterpiece, please let me know so I can give him or her credit.
Ingredients:
1 large yellow onion, chopped
1 tablespoon olive or coconut oil
4 cups chicken stock, or one 32-oz box of Pacific Foods free-range chicken broth
12 peeled carrots
1 bay leaf
1 can of coconut milk (I like Aroy-D brand)
7 cloves of garlic, minced
2 fresh limes, about 4-6 tablespoons
4 ½ chunks fresh ginger, peeled and chopped
5 shakes of crushed red pepper
Handful fresh cilantro, chopped
Pinch of sea salt
Marnie’s additions:
1 tablespoon fish sauce
¼ cup coconut aminos
-Place carrots, broth, bay leaf, and coconut milk in a large stock pot. Turn on high then, once boiling, turn down to simmer.
-In a large skillet, sauté the onion in the oil until translucent and slightly soft and golden.
-Add garlic and ginger, and sauté for a few minutes.
-Add onions, garlic, and ginger to the stock pot with carrots. After the mixture has come to a boil, simmer for 18 minutes.
-Remove from heat. Using a hand immersion blender, puree until smooth.
-In a separate saucepan, add the juice of two limes, a bit of crushed red pepper, and a handful of cilantro. Sauté on high for a few minutes.
-Pour lime mixture into pureed soup along with fish sauce and coconut aminos.
-Stir and add sea salt to taste.
Good news! This soup is dairy-free and gluten-free and is a perfect addition to your Pure Radiance 21-Day Cleanse menu. For an added bonus: You can batch-cook this soup and freeze the leftovers for up to 3 months.
